About

Md. Mahmudul Alam is currently a PhD student under "Zamalah UKM" scholarship at the Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI), National University of Malaysia (UKM). He obtained an MA (Environment and Development) degree from UKM, and a first class BBA (Hons.) degree in Finance and Economics from North South University, Bangladesh. Before joining the UKM he worked with Grameenphone Limited (a Telenor group company), Dhaka, Bangladesh as the Head of CRM Operational Analysis (Deputy Manager), Commercial Division from June 2006 to April 2009. He is attached with various professional and research organizations at various capacities including member, advisor and research fellow.

He has also presented papers at many international conferences and workshops in USA, Russia, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Bangladesh. His research areas include economic development, environmental economics, globalization, public-private partnership, investment, etc.
